Define Groups

Groups are the top of the hierarchy and rules are linked as follows:

A rule can be linked to a device and a group. You can access this option by selecting Groups, Devices, Rules. As of release 6.0 one can directly drill from any view to another: for example from Groups to Rules, ...

A rule is not only linked to a group but also to a user. In a multi-user environment, you can define which group of rules a user can access.

The available groups are shown in a drop down list generated from the group list configuration. Only an Administrator can modify group names.

Define Groups

You need to be logged in as an Administrator in order to define a group. In the main screen select the Groups View option (top menu) and then click on edit icon next to the group name to edit.

Click on the Add Group link to add a new group.

WARNING: by clicking on the delete icon (next to edit), you will not only delete the group name but also all related checks.
