Groups are the top of the hierarchy and rules are linked as follows:
A rule can be linked to a device and a group. You can access this option by selecting Groups, Devices, Rules. As of release 6.0 one can directly drill from any view to another: for example from Groups to Rules, ...
A rule is not only linked to a group but also to a user. In a multi-user environment, you can define which group of rules a user can access.
The available groups are shown in a drop down list generated from the group list configuration. Only an Administrator can modify group names.
You need to be logged in as an Administrator in order to define a group. On the menu bar, select Group View and then click on the Add Group link to add a new group.
To edit the group name, simply click on it and hit save.
WARNING: by clicking on the delete icon (next to edit), you will not only delete the group name but also all related checks.
